Alexander has reached a milestone of his own...reading his first book cover to cover! He's been getting close to reading since he turned four. Sounding out words etc. But this week he read his first whole book! Of course, it was a Star Wars one. He's also reading things like street signs, cereal boxes, and newspaper ads. His world is opening up! Since he is learning both German and English right now, we've been seeing him confuse sounds, which is actually pretty neat. It takes some kids who are bilingual a but longer to read since they have two languages to decipher. I don't think this will be Alexander though. At church, he read "john" the baptist, as "Yahn" andpronounced "window" as "vindov". We just correct him-and remind him what language the word is written in. It is so fun to see!
